Rapid prototyping
We offer a variety of rapid manufacturing processes that enable rapid prototyping at a fraction of the cost. In recent years, with advances in additive manufacturing technology, 3D printing has become an excellent choice for engineers looking for rapid prototyping solutions, as 3D printing enables the rapid printing of parts at a lower cost using a variety of different metals and plastics.
However, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding are also being considered as viable solutions for specific uses, such as evaluating how prototypes perform with final metal materials or testing with multiple spare parts.
> 3D printing: As the most commonly used rapid process in prototyping, it is a fast and affordable technology.
> CNC machining: It is also attractive for prototyping, allowing modifications to the design to be made, testing several different versions easily and quickly, while maintaining high precision. CNC machined parts can be manufactured in a variety of different metals and plastics and shipped within 10 days.
> sheet metal machining: Sheet metal machining is a great option for flat parts that require the final metal material to evaluate the prototype. Sheet metal parts can be manufactured in less than a week and are cost-effective enough to typically produce two or more prototypes at the same time!
> injection molding: The rapid injection molding process enables the manufacture of a series of durable, identical parts for testing with multiple spare parts. It is typically used for high-fidelity product evaluation and can also be used as a transitional fixture for temporary production at product launch. Injection molding is highly repeatable and maintains the same finished product shape. Rapid turnaround times for the first parts are typically 2-3 weeks.
